Community Outreach & Engagement

SAfe Community

Safer Streets

It's about making sure people can move around their communities without the risk of accidents, violence, or unsafe conditions. Safer Streets are about creating environments where people feel secure and supported, no matter how they get around.

Crime Preventions

Crime Prevention refers to the strategies, measures, and practices aimed at reducing or eliminating criminal behavior before it occurs. It focuses on addressing the root causes of crime, increasing the risks for potential offenders, and reducing opportunities for crime through community efforts, education, law enforcement, environmental design, and social programs.

ADA Compliances

ADA compliance is about making environments—both physical and digital—inclusive and accessible for everyone.

Wheelchair accessibility

Hearing Impaired

Proper Signage

Proper Signage refers to the clear, visible, and strategically placed signs that convey important information, instructions, warnings, or directions to individuals in a given environment. These signs are designed to enhance safety, ensure compliance with regulations, improve communication, and support efficient navigation in both public and private spaces.

Understanding Who to Call for Emergencies

It’s important to know exactly who to call in different types of emergencies.

For Immediate Life-Threatening Emergencies (fire, medical, crime in progress):

  • Call 911
    Police
    Fire department
    Ambulance

For Non-Life-Threatening Situations:

Medical Advice (non-urgent)

  • Local nurse advice line or your healthcare provider
    Poison Control: 1-800-222-1222 (U.S.)

Mental Health Crisis

  • 988 (U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)
